Some short, minor, tolerable pain when the anesthesia is first administered. No pain after that. If you start to feel pain tell the doc and they will give you more anesthesia. Do not hesitant, because the pain will get worse. Post transplant, no pain per say, only some soreness. Follow the doc's instructions. I used antibiotic ointment on the donor region for redness and irritation. It helped. Do not use it on the recipient region unless the doc tells you. I am in my fifth day of my transplant, so I cannot say more. Only that, I am elated after doing it. I am MtoF trans.
